Thrilling news

Before he’s even out of office, the line has formed to honor George W. Bush. A friend writes:

San Francisco has collected sufficient signatures to place a new measure on the next ballot renaming the “Oceanside Sewage Treatment Plant” to the “George W. Bush Sewage Treatment Plant.”

I am sad to report that this proposition was not passed. More than 60% of San Franciscans voted against it, not because they felt George W. Bush didn’t deserve the honor, but rather because they were unwilling to spend the $50,000 that new signs, new stationery, new business cards and so forth would cost.

Pikers.
