Enjoyed your take on Google here. I like my netbook, too, but still think I may try an iPad at some point. My son likes his Android so I may eventually go that route. Dabbled with Google Chrome but didn't continue. I'm not much into Facebook but maybe I'll eventually take a look at Google+. I've long preferred and used Google search but don't like the more recent way it operates as well as previously. Will be interested in seeing how all this tech evolution continues and count on tech knowledgeable people me to provide their observations and comparisons to which I can refer,

What a great post. Thanks. I am so impressed with Michelle Obama.
and her campaign to raise healthier kids.

Two dozen humming birds are swarming the feeder outside the kitchen window. They empty that quart in 6 hours. I used to feel guilty if I didn't run out to refill it right away. After watching your "Lets Move" number, I told those hummers there were at least a dozen fruit trees covered with blooms, and they'd best get out there and FORAGE before they got too fat to fly.

re: Elevator.
Don'tcha love those senior moments. The mind is such a fragile little thing. And mine is so inclined to just wander off without telling us where it is going. Good grief. Some days looking after it is exhausting - like minding a 4 year old.

Here in the Pacific Northwest, we're in that difficult stage where the afternoon temperatures rise to 70 degrees, prompting all kinds of gardening notions, but nights still frequently drop down into the 20s, reminding us it's still but mid-April.

It looks as though 2011 will be good year for water, we've had a fairly wet April and the snow pack in the Trinity Alps is excellent. Were it not for the cows, pastures would be knee deep in grass. I got all the onion and broccoli starts out of the
greenhouse and into the kitchen garden, along with early Japanese turnips and Chinese greens. They're all nice and cozy under hoops and agriculture fabric. The spuds are in the ground, and fall planted garlic and shallots are thriving. This year husband decided he was tired of losing his fruit harvest to late spring frosts killing all the blossoms. He constructed greenhouses from 2 inch pvc and plastic sheeting over semi-dwarf peach, plum, pear, and early apple trees.

We also wrapped up the paw paw bushes and kiwi. And so, each morning we unwrap trees, vines and shrubs for bee access, and each evening cover them up
again. It's a big hassle. Who knows if it will work. Personally, I'm not caring much about the kiwi, thinking them a losing proposition in this climate, but I surely would like to taste a Paw Paw once before I die. You no doubt recall the song from our childhood - "picking up paw paws put 'em in your pocket, way down yonder in the pawpaw patch." I understand that they're s'pozed to taste like banana custard. We planted these shrubs 10 YEARS AGO! They just started to bloom two years ago. Last year, I actually got them wrapped in Ag fab but removed it two days too early, and a vicious 20 degree night in early May wiped out all the blossoms.

Just one paw paw. That's all I ask. Just one to taste. Banana custard fruit. Just one would make it all worth while.

Dear Concerned American,

I appreciate your comment here, and I hope you forward it to the JoAnne Kloppenburg campaign too.

Let me suggest a way to make your voice heard more clearly. Your comment above is anonymous, and while I understand why some people would sometimes rather not reveal their identity in a blog comment, I hope that if you forward your comment to the Kloppenburg campaign you will do so without the cloak of anonymity. It will mean so much more to us to know who you are. For example, if you are from Colorado, it will draw attention to the fact that this situation has national exposure. On the other hand, if you are from Wisconsin, it will draw attention to the fact that many Wisconsin voters truly want to know that their votes were not wasted this year in an underhanded election.

Your comment includes a couple of statements that I think deserve to be examined. For example, Waukesha was not the only lopsided county. In fact, other Milwaukee suburban counties and several northern counties showed the same lopsidedness. I think it will be a good exercise to recount the whole state by hand to restore our faith in the process and to perhaps uncover any crooked counting. I think you agree!

Mrs. Kloppenburg,

I am writing you today to encourage you to opt for a recount of the supreme court election. I have been listening intently to the Tea Party Politicians across the country and this is a movement that scares me todeath (and I'm fearless). As I listen and review the statements made by Gov. John Kasich, Governor Rick Snyder, and Scott Walker during their elections and now I am struck by the outright dishonesty of these individuals. They all represented themselves as canadites who wanted to improve the conditions of the middle class. Yet in all cases they have enacted instrumental legislation that is monumentaly detrimental to the middle class of America. They have taken a course of action that is not even close to the campainge promises they made during their elections. In your own state of Wisconsin you have seen Scott Walker completely ignore the judicial branch of your government signifying his complete disregard for the democratic process. It therefore does not strike me as odd that he or his representitives would stoop to something like voter tampering to get his way. The discrepency in votes in Waukesha is disturbing. How can it be that in all other counties the race was pretty much a dead heat and yet misteriously in Waukesha County it was disproportionately in favor of Prosser? In addition there is a huge 20,000 voter difference between this election and Waukesha County election in 2006. And most importantly what was going on during the three days it took to bring the new votes to light? What is the source of these additionaly discovered votes? And if there was voter fraud what will prevent that from happening in the recall elections that are coming up? I find it especially disconcerting that David Prosser is set to fight any recount. WHAT DOES HE HAVE TO HIDE?!!!!!! It is important to establish the legitimacy of the election to ensure that future elections will be honest. Pleas don't back down now!!!!!
