“There is no bad music, only bad performances.” — Ornette Coleman

I’m reminded of the instructor’s injunction, “There are no stupid questions, only stupid people.” Which brings me to Richard Dawkins. Richard of course is the offensively intellectual guy who a few years ago led the charge to re-brand atheists as “brights.”

I wish you hadn’t done that, Richard. One doesn’t have to be particularly bright to see the darkness at the end of the tunnel. A simple man understands that most religion is a shuck designed to support a power structure. In the old days it took a brave man to share his awareness of the great emptiness beyond in the face of the inquisition. Today — well, it depends where you’re doing the sharing.
