    Is Sarah Palin really Betty Boop?

    Does anybody hav a better sweet potato pie recipe than Malissa Basnight’s?

    Makes: 1 pie

    1 large sweet potato, boiled and peeled (see note)

    1/2 cup butter (1 stick)

    1/2 cup sugar

    1/2 cup brown sugar

    1 tablespoon cinnamon

    1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

    1 teaspoon lemon extract

    1 tablespoon vanilla extract

    4 eggs

    1/2 small can evaporated milk

    1 cup whole milk

    1 ready made pie crust

    Mash potato with butter, sugars, spices and flavorings.

    Beat eggs and milks with potato mix until smooth. Pour into ready-made pie crust and bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for about an hour.

    Note Sweet potato should be larger around than a softball.

    Why isn’t Russia a member of the G7?

      mmmm, pie. Sweet potato is my favorite.

      My husband asked the same thing this weekend…”Didn’t it used to be the G8? Did Russia get kicked out or something?”

      I googled around to try to understand, and what I found is that it is the G8 when heads of State gather and it includes Russia. When Finance Ministers gather to chart policy affecting the global markets, they do not invite Russia, hence G7. Right neighborly, ain’t it?
