In comments at La Vache Qui Lit, Blair Millen points to VVORK

From whence it’s not too far a leap to simpleposie (functional, sincere, and from Toronto) where one finds interesting questions, such as:

Without a statement of curatorial intent, does selection (inclusion and exclusion) imply a value judgement? Does it have to?

(MW linked through me the other day to ThisTasmania. My foggy mind cleared for a moment and a ray of light shone through… much of what is wonderful on the web is to be found in these curatorial efforts. Woods Lot and VVORK are two collections that are each worth a regular visit. Jennifer McMackon was also a nice find for me this morning.

This post relates to the two most recent posts here of my own (just scroll down). I don’t have much hope that the best intentioned of those practicing conventional politics or that the most ethical and mindful business communities on the web can do more than influence changes toward the center from the right. On the other hand, I have every hope that the artists can keep us aware of the incipient fascism that’s afoot, and perhaps even influence changes toward the left of that center-line into the area where government of, by, and for people regains dominance over the cold regulatoria of corporate power structures.
