Jimbo Wales is quoted in the BBC News article on blogging codes: “You don’t have to insult people to be frank.”

I usually prefer the initial capital when spelling out my first name.

I wish he wouldn’t define people’s character and personality for them. That sort of thing strains anyone’s efforts at civility.
