Brian 03.29.06 at 7:26: I know what you mean. When I was 18 I would not (for example) have dared to step out and learn how to dance. A few weeks ago a fellow waved me down and taught my wife and (and some others) some simple barn-dance steps.

Of course it _was_ at an SF Con; a place where it’s easy to shed inhibitions. Still.
