i used to like to write poetry too. my uncle alfred henry cordes formerly of houston, now of san antonio & waldeck texas, made a special trip to weld county colorado to chew me out in front of my family, at the dinner table. they screwed up his chances of becoming us president or president of texas a&m university. the whole country should send me a christmas card every year for doing it. he is on a fayette county bank board, and has personally seen to it, that the towns of fayetteville and la grange texas close their stores at 12 noon on saturday (except for heb and walmart) and all day sunday. even the barbershop, where the guy plays polka or beer saturday morning and is late frequently. the city signs along hwy 159/237 from la grange to round top and the frequent speed sign changes have led me into near collisions since i moved to fayette county in 2024. by the way, i believe the only town with a police force is la grange. it reminds me of the concentration camps/independent homelands of suid-afrika under the national party. i thought about making a public donation or gift to help out the county fix up the road, to make it safer, but it’s just a f…. waste of time, because when the present county administration was put into office, their first legislation was a fat, fat pay raise and new equipment to chase slobs.
