Dean has been considering “…how to monetize my core competencies in a growth-related proactive, fungible platform to create strategic value, and to serve connectivity and media initiatives in a socio-techno context?”
I’ve been thinking along the lines of Policy and Analysis, but darned if PollyAnna.com wasn’t already taken.
Dean reflects, “I generally distrust (and am quick to dismiss) do-gooders as Pollyannas, or blabbermouths more interested in themselves or their ego than the greater good.” My thoughts exactly.
Dean and I are both asking “the key question, an odd one for someone my age: what do I want to do when I grow up? Or, better stated, what shall I do for a living . . . in order to provide the basic necessities: child support, food, clothing, shelter, health care, Yankee tickets, cat food and litter, satellite TV for the YES Network, and broadband access.”
Some months ago we talked with James Roberts about a joint blog-pub called “billable hours.” My revenue stream is almost entirely built on these. Talking about writing about this was fun. Actually getting down to the writing has been more difficult.
I last talked to Dean as he was navigating New York traffic, smoking a cigar and juggling his cellphone because the hands free unit was hosed up. Hopefully he will make it home and we can keep the conversation going.
Dean, it sounded much like we were entering into the scary realms of Digital Identity.

Same size as a DVD. Stores a terabyte or so. Not a bad idea really.

…in concert this Friday at our local minor league ball park. Lucky it’s scheduled to start early and end early too. Lucky for the entire geriatric set of performers and audience. Somebody called with extra tickets. I’m way glad. Heck, the opening act alone will be worth the admission.
The last time I saw Bob Dylan he was all mustache and skinny and pro, and it was six weeks after the big Arab hijacking thing that defined so many people’s lives. It was a good time to hear Bob Dylan. This time will be a good time to hear some Texas swing.

Reading a comment at the good Dr. Weinberger’s, I ran into this link:

If you want to follow the money in this year’s election, opensecrets.org looks like a good place to visit.

This photo, found at Madame Levy’s “Reading Cow,” combines all of the elements comprising the category… it is a cat picture taken in France, and the kitty is eating! Delicious!
(While at M. Levy’s bazaar, you might want to score some LV.)

But first a word from our sponsor:
Dear Meetup member,
We recently invited members of the Australian Shepherd Meetup
Group to volunteer as the official local Organizer. So far, no
one has stepped up. Without an Organizer, next month’s Meetup
might be your last. Will you consider becoming the Group
Organizer? You can always step down later, and it will take
only a few extra minutes a month.

The previous Tetons pic - photoshopped a little. I look like Woody Allen.
