Doc provides photos of a blaze near Santa Barbara. He also provides a link to InciWeb, a useful resource for information about forest fires. InciWeb indicates that the Rancho Wildland fire is small and 50% contained, the Tahoe conflagration is pretty much under control, but in Alaska there is a huge 55,000 acre fire burning, the Caribou Hills Fire, covering 15 to 20 times the acreage of the Tahoe fire, 80 times the acreage of the Rancho Wildland fire near Santa Barbara.
