Much messing around with WordPress

by Frank Paynter on June 24, 2007

As the Israelis prepare for war, and Bloomberg tries to decide whether to spoil the election for the Republicans… as Google tries to have its fortune cookie and eat it too… while the Senate tries to keep the flames of xenophobia brightly lit along our southern border, I have been futzing around with WordPress trying to correct a problem that is probably Godaddy’s.

If you have a broadband connection, or what passes for one in the US of monopolistic practices in restraint of trade, then this site should load reasonably fast. On Thursday I ran into performance issues. I hadn’t changed anything, so I was hacked or my database provider was blowing it. I chose to believe the latter. Today I reviewed all the code in my theme files and couldn’t see a reason fro the slow-down, but after backing up and upgrading, things seem a little faster. Or do they?

[tags]godaddy, suck provider, league with the devil, dark and evil hosting service, cheap though[/tags]
