Tagged by Chris Locke… I’m asked to reveal five semi-secrets and then I get to tag five people. Here goes…
1. I was a member of the University of Wisconsin College Bowl team, but awkwardly enough on academic probation at the time so had to miss the shows. (The better students on that team have gone on to become Deans and University Presidents and such).
2. When I was nineteen I owned three vehicles at the same time: a 1947 Indian Chief, a 1952 Jaguar XK120, and a 1954 Chevy Bel Air. You can guess which was the most dependable ride. I was also into slot car racing that year. It was 1964 and I lived in Concord, California and worked at the Dow Chemical plant up the river in Pittsburg.
3. I enjoy drinking maple syrup straight from the bottle.
4. In the sixth grade I had a black leather jacket and a switch blade knife. Mom confiscated the knife.
5. I am a pacifist with an honorable discharge from the US Marine Corps.
I’ll be tagging Mike Golby, J. Alva Scruggs, Bruce, Grace Davis, and Dervala Hanley. Sorry friends.

I’m in good company. Some day, Frank, I may be able to write out one of these blog tag meme thingies. But I can reveal that I keep five fire extinguishers — my home burnt to a shell when I was nine.
You are *quite* an interesting fella, Frank.
Learning these 5 facts makes me want to know even more… and that doesn’t happen very often when reading weblogs.
Hey - me too with the maple syrup. I also pour it on popcorn.
That sounds messy but delicious!
