Breakfast on the Plaza, followed by a nice relaxing time in the room reading, lunch at a pizza place by UMKC, a few hours in the afternoon at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art – much Chihuly, a few nice Georgia O’Keefes, Jasper Johns’ “The Seasons,” Lisa Sanditz: “Flyover,” a little Steiglitz photo of O’Keefe, a couple of Mapplethorpe photos, stuff by the Stellas, the exhibit spaces are just the right size. No one will suffer museum feet after walking through the Kemper, and you can’t help but be rewarded by the interesting curation of the contemporary art on display.
Dinner later at Katie’s parents’ house… nice folks, and I hope to get to know them better over the years.
