i’ve been tempted, over the years, to use her dog feeding advice. it’s a shame they give her books those airy faerie hippie / new agey suspect covers. she was anything but. those photos of her kids have stuck with me.
Jmo 03.28.07 at 12:46: Knowing of her taugh me that if I ever had an ancient olive tree, where ants were attacking, I didn’t have to kill them - I just had to put ash around the base of the tree and they’d go away.

Man I really like her.
