Mere anarchy

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
– W. B. Yeats

    You are the one person I now respect out of all this. I think it took a lot of guts–given the people involved in these sites are friends of yours–to apologize so quickly on my blog, and to make this post.

    I had trusted you after our exchange about meankids and the noose comment, but when I saw unclebobism, and that picture, it was clear to me that nobody had taken Joey’s comment seriously, that became even more frightening to me.

    I accept your apology and it means a lot to me. Nobody else involved has said a word to me about this except Joey– and he brought lies and more insults.

    The relationship has not been destroyed. Far from it… you just went up a big notch. Thank you.

    Kudos Frank.

    I don’t think the others involved here realize just how hurtful their comments are. Their continued silence is making the stain on them deeper, and deeper.

    I hope there is a realization that there are PEOPLE at the other end of the keyboard and that ad hominem and, particularly, sexual and death threats, are simply not to be accepted.

    Thanks for helping to restore just a little of my faith in my fellow bloggers too.
