Just a fan-boy…

Earlier today I was thinking that Sandhill is little more than a big-ass fan letter. I read all this great stuff by wonderful engaged writers and I blather on about the fact that I liked it. Usually I offer up a few fatuous links, and then I read some more. Somehow none of the really profound work gets done around here because I’m all like, you know, "Oh wow!" about everybody else’s stuff.

Male student sits down behind me, next to other male student:

Q: Hey man, did you have a good break?

A: Yeah, but not long enuf. I lost my cell phone in Chicago, I don’t have any numbers! Ususally they just break, but I lost it, man, I don’t have any numbers!

Q: What are you taking this semester?

A: A lighter load.
