Awakened by fire engines, Suw reports on a fire in San Francisco early this morning. I dipped into the SFGate site hoping for detail. Nuthin’. It’s time for urban journalism to catch up with the possibilities. It’s time for more guys in pork pie hats with press cards stuck in the hat bands, talking at banks of payphones in the lobby. Okay.. not payphones. "…talking on cell phones in the lobby" then. But it is time for Lois and Jimmy and the Chief.
