Shield Journalists and Whistleblowers

Two reporters may be jailed for refusing to reveal their sources to a federal prosecutor.

The case threatens reporters, whistleblowers and the public’s need to know about government wrongdoing.

49 states recognize reporters’ rights to protect their sources. Tell Congress to
    pass a federal shield law.

I believe, for as long as the source demand to remain confidential, the state should do so.My implicatyion being that the confidental source can only be known by the state and the media just for safety reasons.
