No biker wants one of those crappy things, it is silent and can only go 50!

For contrast see Jay Leno’s 320 HP jet-engibe powered monster, which is equally impractical due to the spool-up/spool-down response times of the jet (8 secs).

Stu… I noticed this efficient little beast has performance metrics somewhere between pathetic and awful - zero to fifty mph in over 12 seconds - Leno gets out to a quarter mile in nine seconds and as you pointed out that’s suck-awful and due to the spooling up of the turbine. But it’s a 1.0 release.

No, the reason you might want to ride this motorcycle is that it gets infinite miles per gallon. (Leno’s monster sucks up a quart of fossil fuel every mile).

Ya…. Well just wait till the cost of fuel goes to 68$ a barrel and prices of gas rise to over $3.00 in the US, then we’ll see who dont wanna ride one of these.

I would buy one in a heartbeat. I need an inexpensive, low cost to operate in-city vehicle. I can stay off all the fast roads and just cut though the burbs (faster anyway) and since it is silent, I won’t disturb anybody’s morning.

I don’t really care what anyone thinks of how it looks (I’m past needing an ego boost), and the production line will probably be faster. Now if I can just convince my wife…

Since it concievable that a hydrogen plant could be kept at home and powered off 110 home current and a gallon of water, it will beat filling up on gas.
