…or we could…

Yes. Let’s. We’ll head north out of New Jersey and visit Montreal. Then west to hook-up with DH and Ranger Tim on the shore of Lake Superior. Maybe we could have little watercress sandwiches cut in triangular shapes - white bread with the crusts trimmed. And a thermos of garbanzo beans. Who remembers Judy Henske? Anyway, this will be fun. A picnic on the lake with mooses and bears perhaps. Certainly bunnies. Maybe I can get a few pictures and freshen up the interview material. I mean, what I already have is timeless, but it lacks a certain currency, if ya know what I mean. I mean, I’ve maybe procrastinated as long as one can without calling it something else… like avocational abandonment or something. I feel like Steve Himmer, although he is at least writing something while he procrastinates on the book.

    If you go down to the woods today,

    You’re sure of a big surprise.
    If you go down to the woods today,
    You’d better go in disguise.
    For every bear that ever there was
    Will gather there for certain because
    Today’s the day the teddy bears have their picnic.

    Picnic time for teddy bears;
    The little teddy bears are having a lovely time today.
    Watch us catch them unawares,
    And see them picnic on their holiday.
    See them gaily gad about.
    They love to play and shout,
    They never have any cares.
    At six o’clock their mummies and daddies
    Will take them home to bed
    Because they’re tired little teddy bears.
