Frank,

Thanks for the love. I hear what you're saying totally. I agree the word is offensive but its what we're STILL dealing with here in 2007. ^Doug^ provided perhaps the best solution and I have since edited the post to reflect his suggestion.

I want people to however stop acting as if it doesn't exist. I want it to offend people of ALL RACES. To upset them to make them question my use as you did. Be the cause of debate and hopefully enlighten those who are half asleep.

I've never known the mind of a racist white supremacist or any white man for that matter but I do know that the word "N----r" has caused the deaths of so many, fueled the lives of many more and has caused so much controversey since its inception deep rooted in the heart of over 400 years of opression.

Its been around so long it has since morphed into other derivations. Unfortunate as it is to say, it such a central element to our American Racial climate that an entire college major could be created to study its use and effect.

Thanks for the chin check. I'm glad someone was paying attention.

First let me say thank you for the kind words about the Highbrid Nation site.

I completely understand you not wanting the "N" word shw up on your site. Its not a pretty word. Though I was not the writer of the story you are refering to in your post, I do stand by the writer (S Dot Stylus) and his choice to use the word in the way he did.

I believe his choice to use the "N" word was two parts. Partly to grip people's attention. The other part is because a large part of our country use that word all the time. It may be wrong to say it outloud but they casually use it in their homes to describe black people. I'm sure that doesn't apply to everyone but it does apply to many. So as long as a large part of America sees us as the "N" word, then I have no problem with it being used to rattle a few feathers. Hopefully when people are more open about their feelings when it comes to race, we will be able to get over our issues in this country.

Someone once told me that the worst racist in one who doesn't know he is one.

Once again thanks for taking the time to visit our site. I'll be sure to send the writer of the story to your site. Maybe he'll do a post explaining his use of the word.

While I understand his use of the term in his post overall I find any use of that term offensive. Maybe less so if it were enclosed "" to illustrate the difference.
