Fortunately, with the wet spring and early summer, the little wild <a href="http://wisplants.uwsp.edu/scripts/detail.asp?SpCode=RUBOCC" rel="nofollow">black-caps</a> are abundant and ripening faster than I can eat them one at a time. Our chore for today is to pick a little bucket of these to put on our ice cream. I was forced to buy a half gallon of Edy’s “French Vanilla” to go with that pie. Yesterday, Roomie made a trek to one of the many local farmer's markets around here and came back with some fresh peaches (I'm thinking homemade peach icecream on 4th) and the most beautiful blackberries I've ever seen. They are the size of golfballs. Couldn't resist popping one in my mouth... Ahhhh ... scrumptious. Can hardly wait for the cobbler. Be by around 2:00…
