Hey Frank,
My Boca Java arrived today along with biscotti and a couple of cool looking (and I hope tasting) cookies!

But mainly the mug arrived. I LOVE it! It says:
“Always blog on a full tank.”

Am thrilled to bits. I feel … er … ever so … techno-tam!

If it’s any comfort, I liked it too at one point. Their misanthropic national perversions special, sometime back in the early seventies, was very funny. I still think much of the British elite’s poilitical thinking can be explained by their fondness for being spanked.

It was dead by the eighties, however, when the right wing affection for cruel practical jokes gave us ketchup as vegetable and a vegetable as a president. And bow ties, Brian. Can you forgive the bow ties? I can’t.

Why do the romantic rightists take all the cool blog names?

Reminds me of Tucker Carlson: “Liberals used to be funny. They edited magazines like National Lampoon. They had a claim on cool. Then something happened. They became sour and earnest and neurotic about secondhand smoke.”

Blue is the new black he went on to misquote. Perhaps “Progressives” are the new Eisenhower Republicans i.e.. the squares?
