Barbara Chapman & Karen Miller are both grandmothers. We use the term “grandmother” in its traditional meaning of wisewoman/elder so that younger women can also sign on to our efforts with Democracy in Action. Karen is one of the original three founding members, and both Karen and Barbara are chairs of the Democracy in Action Women’s Autonomy Group which has worked since last July advocating for women’s reproductive health and monitoring the proceedings of the SDTFSA.

Sanity or an exercise in free markets? I have no idea what the going rate for abortions is but as the only provider they can charge a premium. Can’t afford the price? If you can finance a dishwasher, why not an abortion? Easy installments …
